The Story Behind the Inner Rebirth Oracle Deck

In this article I will dive into the story of how I created the Inner Rebirth Oracle and the story behind it, and further explore why affirmations may not be working for you.

Several years ago as I was starting to work with graphic design in a more artistic, yet serious way, I was playing around with an app called Mirror Lab. It provided me a way to make non-abstract images abstract, and work with pictorial material differently.

This must’ve been the year 2018, most likely, as I remember creating some of these abstract images while traveling abroad. Those in between times in the airplane and the bus, and the train subway around the world, those times were often accompanied by this fun little activity that engaged my creative brains in a new way. Until this point, my art had been more focused around physical and hand-crafted things. I was expanding my skillset, essentially.

Back in the day, I was also very much into reprogramming my mind and self-development, things like that. That was very expansive work for me, and it really helped me to move forward in my life, to create higher outcomes and to go after the dreams that I had. One of these dreams was attending an artist residency, and so far I’ve attended one abroad and one in the country that I live in.

I worked with affirmations, as an example of reprogramming the mind. These days I have expanded my perspective and there are few things that I would like to say about affirmations.

They work for some, but not for others. There are a few reasons why this may be.

1. Egoic Level Distortions. Often times if we have a rigid egoic consciousness, it can be harder for these new expansive beliefs to enter into our consciousness. The rigid structure may clutch onto the old pattern, thus blocking the flow of these new frequencies.
2. Healing needs to go deeper. Sometimes a simple affirmation phrase will not be enough to heal us to our core. Deeper work needs to be done, the problem needs to be solved, and the pain needs to be exorcised… well, externalised, by speaking it out loud, but exorcised sounds more badass, and technically that’s happening when we fully heal.
3. Emotional fields are having the upper hand. Affirmations mostly work on our mental fields. If your emotional fields are operating as a much stronger force, you will need to calm and balance them out first and deal with your mismatching emotions before these affirmations are going to go to work.
4. Poor quality affirmation. If your affirmation phrase is too vague, if you don’t understand the frequency enough in order to integrate it, or you didn’t pick one that actually really calls you, but rather one that your conditioned mind picked – the affirmation phrases may not work for you.

When we pick the right ones though, and we express readiness, and our traumas haven’t got the hold of us anymore, these affirmations can be very useful. We can start to explore our mental fields as a tool for transformation. We can cultivate a different mindset. We can use these affirmations as a way to create higher realities. The mental level is not the only level which creates realities. But it is an important one.

Our minds tend to be deeply conditioned, therefore, if you are perceiving “All is Mind” through a conditioned mind, you’re going to see reality in a conditioned way. You’re going to see conditions, not reality as it is. Reality will be conditioned until the mind is healed and purified.

Having that said, from my point of view I don’t think of All as Mind. I find that this is oversimplification of spirituality. Although it is said in Hermetic texts, it’s an old teaching, and it’s been adapted by a lot of psycho-spiritual and coaching circumstances, where it is used for things other than actual Soul realisation. To me, All is Spirit, Spirit being the Energy behind everything, creating different forms of energy. Our Souls are made of Spirit – it’s the matter of our Souls and the matter of any spirit that walks without a body. Therefore, no, it is not “mind over matter” to me, nor is it “matter over mind”. Notes on programming and reprogramming

When your consciousness is rooted in pure light, pure love, pure divinity, you don’t necessarily need to reprogram. When you’re coming from a pure consciousness, with pure intentions, you will operate from that place, thus, reprogramming it to a certain bandwidth is sort of counterintuitive. That’s the decision for you to make for yourself – if you want to put more programs into yourself, go ahead. If not, because you’ve already purified your consciousness, that’s totally cool too.

Having all of that said, my deck is not affirmations only, even though I call it that. Maybe that should’ve been more specified in its publication. This deck was created because I was thinking of making an affirmation deck with these abstract artwork pieces that I had made. There’s a lot affirmation decks out there, and these cards that I made are very unique in the way that they use language to reprogram our reality.

One thing I did change however, was one card. I put this card in here that says “The easier it gets, the easier you fall” – and the idea that I had behind it was basically “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” and basically if things are constantly easy it’s easier to fall from there and dip down really hard. I’ve evolved from this idea, and therefore I changed the card. Instead, I removed the old one and incorporated another picture to be a part of the deck, and I find that it works much better:

This graphic was originally on my IG before I deleted it (and later on I created a new IG with the same old handle, lol), and in the post I was talking about changing realities by making different decisions, and how a lot of timelines at the times were collapsing and shifting. I mentioned my experience of going to the shopping center, where I was much more present than before and experienced my reality differently.

When I published this deck, I was in a very different consciousness than I am now. Therefore for a while I thought I was going to stop selling this deck. I didn’t even promote it much. But I find that this deck will really support someone who’s in this stage of their journey, where they will be understanding their subconscious mind better, and tapping into their true Divinity. If I were to make a similar deck from my current perspective, it would be very different. There’s a lot about shadow work and softness, about the quantum perspective, Divinity, other perspective shifts and related things like that.
